What
people think about the DVD and Book.
No politics, no medical jargon (we explain clearly
who does what, when and why) - just good advice - see how to change
a nappy, see how to handle and bath a tiny new born baby, find out
how you can make your birth easier.
Although I went to classes I had 4 weeks after
they finished before my baby arrived - the video was really useful
for keeping the information fresh in my mind especially the part
about breathing."
Mrs Cardosa
"The video really helped me - my
baby came six weeks early so I never got to finish the classes -
luckily what I missed was all on the video so when it came to labour
I was well prepared also for when the baby came home."
Ms Philips
"The ideal way to plan for a better
pregnancy and an easier birth - we both found it really helpful."
Steve & Carol Johnson
"The classes are vital but my partner
was either busy and was pretty unwilling to attend them anyway.
We got the video and watched it together at home - just the two
of - it was great. It answered almost all our questions and it really
got him more involved and brought us together. I still did classes
which was also brilliant as I met local mums who were expecting
at the same time as me so we still get together and support each
other."
Wendy Botha
"It answered lots of questions
I felt too silly to ask. It had a great section explaining what
all the words and names meant, and a useful list of contact numbers."
Mrs Laurance
"I was so tired and there was so
much to take in at the clinic or evening classes I found it really
nice to be able to put my feet up (take the weight off my swollen
ankles) and watch the video. Actually I watched it with my mum which
was useful as it showed her how things are done these days. I came
home with my baby after only 48 hours so I was really pleased to
have shared the tape with mum - at least we were trying to work
to the same rules when she came to help me afterwards!"
Mrs Williams
"With two hours on video they manage
to get loads of the important things in - They break it up into
sections so you just refer to the bits you need as your pregnancy
progresses, it's all there - how the baby grows, staying healthy,
preparing for labour, how labour works, pain relief. They had a
whole section on the new baby, about dealing with a crying baby,
feeding, daily care - even how to bath and change nappies. The books
and lots of magazines were great but the video was sound, movement
and all the advice really brought it all to life and realistic way
really felt they'd made it just for me!"
